Sitting over a mile high in elevation, Montrose County is the gateway to fun on the Western Slope. West of Montrose is the Uncompahgre Plateau, offering hundreds of miles of 4-wheeling trails and canyons to explore. To the north of Montrose is Olathe, a small farming community with loads of charm.
